  Tosse Attracts Stakeholders In Education

Total School Support Exhibition/Seminar (TOSSE) has evidently become the largest and most exciting exhibition bringing together school owners and suppliers of educational products. The event launched in 2009 has successfully created business opportunities for stakeholders in education. This year’s event kicked off on an exciting note at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Lagos on 10th of June, 2010.

No fewer than 38 exhibitors comprising bookshops, banks, insurance firms, ICT companies, service providers etc participated in the one day event organized by Edumark Consult, an educational marketing communications company . Mrs Tokunbo Edun, Executive Director Grace Schools formally declared the event open.

In her introductory remarks, the principal consultant Edumark, Mrs Yinka Ogunde said the exhibition was organized to give school owners the opportunity of meeting those in the business of education and also service providers whose business is relevant to education. On the other hand, she said the seminar was incorporated into the exhibition so that school owners will be better informed on the technicalities on running a school which includes but not limited to marketing, finance and legal issues.

During the seminar, Mr Tayo Oyetibo (SAN) talked on legal issues bordering on land acquisition, properties, tax, C of O etc while Mrs Sade Adefisayo of Corona Schools spoke on “managing school fund for growth”. The marketing segment of the seminar was anchored by Mrs Yinka Ogunde. Her presentation was on “marketing on a tight budget”.

A cross section of school owners at TOSSE agreed that the exhibition afforded them with the opportunity of meeting exhibitors of genuine school products as there is an avalanche of fake products in the market.
